Oliver’s Sketchbook

Oliver is a student enrolled in my Friday drawing class at the School of Visual Arts. Oliver’s major is animation. The one thing I love about Oliver’s drawings is that they have so much detail. They are extremely unique and alive with texture. www.drawing-tutorials-online-blog.com

One) Oliver is cute x3
Two) His work is AMAZING. That’s the kind of style you can’t find on Google, but I look for EVERYWHERE!
Thanks for sharing.

Roughly, how much would a thick sketchbook like that cost. Im 14 and i only get school-grade art books and… They suck… I really want to expand myself further! I hope ill be as talented as Oliver when im 18 :)

@hfnicholls i’d say it depends on whoever’s drawing. some may prefer colored pencils over mechanical graphite. if you search up red and blue lead online you can find it.

@R0cknroll4ever I have an email address you can reach me at, TicTocToby @ gmail . com. I’m very busy with school, so I can’t promise super fast replies, but please feel free to drop me a note any time! Hope I don’t disappoint though, I don’t know a whole lot about manga/anime outside of some older stuff, ahaha. Surprisingly, it’s just not one of my big interests (though I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with it at all! Just never got too into it I guess.)

@TicTocToby Hey Oliver, Do you have a instant messanger or a Email adress I can add you on? I revently retired from the military due to a bad heart murmer and I picked up drawing again, it was a passion when I was younger and I stopped to pick up my real life. I went out to Hobby lobby the other day and spent $300 on sketching books/manga books/pencils and stuff. I think it would be fun to converse with somone else who also had a passion for manga/anime.

I need to ask, those red and blue pencils everyone seems to be using, what pencils are those? Just ordinary red and blue colouring pencils or…?

holy shit i’m a senior at high school taking AP art and my drawings are nowhere near as good as these, question for Matthew, does one become a better artist in college or do you need to already be this good when you enter college?
